Father & Son Day
Celebrate Men & Thier Mentors
Father’s Day — 18th June 2017
We are delighted to be entering the third-year of our partnership with the ‘Father and Son Day’ initiative. Supported by MR PORTER, the aim of the campaign is to increase awareness of male cancers and raise money for The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.
Daniel Marks and Jack Dyson started ‘Father and Son Day’ back in 2014. Both survivors of testicular cancer, their goal is to heighten awareness of the cause while raising valuable funds to invest in research.
We want to celebrate the generational relationship between mentors and mentees and encourage an open dialogue about men’s health. Money raised from the campaign will help fund pioneering research in male cancer care.
We have designed an exclusive trio of t-shirts that showcases the unique bond between a father and a son. Each tee depicts an activity or moment shared with another—fishing, jet skis on the ocean and relaxing in the pool—that captures the spirit of summer. The exclusive t-shirts are available worldwide on orlebarbrown.com and mrporter.com.
MR PORTER will also donate all net-profits generated from a curated selection of designer, contemporary and casual blue shirts to The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity from 8th June to 18th June. The blue shirts represent unity and the everyday basics of a man’s wardrobe.
Share your images of an inspirational man, father, son, mentor or yourself—wearing a blue shirt or an exclusive OB T-shirt— and tag @FatherandSonDay to help increase awareness on the initiative and men’s health.

‘Father and Son Day’ is also helping to support the UK’s first Robotic Surgical Fellowship programme at The Royal Marsden. The programme aims to train new surgeons that can robotically operate on tumours. The fellowship programme will help fund this specialist training each year for the next decade.
