Filming scenes for Thunderballtook Sean Connery to the private residence of the Sullivans, Rock Point, known in the film as Emilio Largo’s residence, ‘Palmyra’. Enjoy the tranquillity of Paradise Island or head to neighbouring Naussau, the bustling capital of the Bahamas, for an abundance of activities and crystal clear waters.

Since being featured in The Man With The Golden Gunin 1974, Khao Phing Kan Island in Phang Nga Bay is now widely known as James Bond Island. Forty metres from the shore stands the famous landmark, Koh Tapu; a gravity-defying 20-metre-tall rock tower which houses assassin Scaramanga’s solar panels in the film. It’s a must-see while in Thailand for its heritage and tenuous longevity.

Bond and Vesper are seen sailing along the Grand Canal in Venice—the first sailing yacht to do so in 300 years. Take a private water taxi or gondola instead to enjoy the famous sights including San Giorgio Maggiore, Saint Mark’s Basilica and Santa Maria della Salute.

UDAIPUR, INDIA

The lavish Taj Lake Palace was featured as Octopussy’s home in the eponymous film, offering an enchanting setting for her and Bond to share a drink. Converted into a hotel in the 1960s, you can recreate the scene while enjoying 360-degree views of Udaipur and service fit for a king.

LAUGHING WATERS, JAMAICA

This iconic scene from Dr. Noshows Bond following Honey Ryder’s singing to the shore where she emerges from the water, shells in hand. The picture-perfect Laughing Waters Beach is on the northern coast of Jamaica, 10 minutes away from the livelier Ocho Rios, and offers fine golden sand and rock pools for an ideal place to explore or relax. It isn’t open to the public but can be booked for special events or you can access it if you are booked at the guest house through UDC Jamaica.
