Open Water Festival

Every year, hundreds of swimmers flock to Carlisle Bay to battle it out in the azure waters.

The scheduled swims start at a jovial 1.5km and work up to the more challenging 10km to cater to the mix of recreational swimmers, triathletes and Olympians. After the final prize ceremony, participants are rewarded with a barbeque and cocktail closing party, which has cemented this event as one for our bucket list.

When the gym won’t do, open water swimming is a fantastic way to use the environment to keep fit—the changing current keeps you on your toes and there’s just something about immersing yourself in Mother Nature that feels thoroughly invigorating.

The Bulldog Sport offers the same tailoring of our classic Bulldog swim shorts but in ultra-lightweight nylon and with 13% elastane for increased mobility and stretch. With a part-elasticated waistband and branded side-fasteners, these are sure to stay in place when you’re going in and coming out of the water.

For serious swimming, opt for the retro Dachshund briefs with contrasting side panels: the traditional performance go-to for their low resistance in water. Fitting closer to your body and with less fabric, you’ll be more hydrodynamic to shave seconds off your finishing time. They’re our newest member of our swim range and for Cruise we’ve introduced classic navy and white or Riviera and navy combinations

On the sand, shield your skin from the sun with our Bray and Kline rash guards. Blending expert tailoring with performance engineering, they have all bases covered with UV-resistant fabric with a UPF rating of 50, while added stretch offers movement and breathability. Their flattering fit and logo on the left sleeve are sure to catch some eyes at the bar.
