Behind The Seams
Discover what makes the Albion jacket our outerwear hero
Here at Orlebar Brown, we love to explore the world and believe your clothes should never limit you from your adventures. We’ve created the ultimate jacket to prepare you for everything from blustery coastal walks at the weekend to clear days atop snowy Austrian mountains; Albion.
Whatever the weather, we’ve designed it to defy the elements via its abundance of quality technical features without compromising on style.
Water and wind-resistant
Branded cord stoppers
“Everything we offer is designed to allow you to explore the world in style, which is why we’ve spent the past two years developing our most advanced technical jacket to date. The Albion looks great while being functional, shielding you from testing conditions and climates so you can focus on the adventures at hand.”
Adam Brown, Founder
1. Down Insulation
Padded with Responsible Down Standard certified goose down and feather with a 80/20 ratio resulting in significant 650 fill power. This means the fibres can trap more air for increased insulation quality—light but incredibly warm.
2. Detachable Hood
The matching hood attaches via a discreet zip and maintains the jacket’s quilting for a uniform finish. With a popper closure chin guard and branded cord stoppers, you can personalise the fit of the hood for optimum defence against wind and cold.
3. Two-Way Zip
A two-way front zip allows you to comfortably sit down without your jacket bunching up around your waist.
4. Secure Pockets
The outer side-entry hip pockets close securely with zips and are lined with fleece to keep your hands warm.
The Albion is crafted from a durable water and wind-resistant nylon and polyurethane blend and the striped ribbed collar and snow guard cuffs ensure your body heat is contained.
The semi-skimmed version of the Albion: the Aidey gilet. Perfect between seasons, it offers a compact extra layer with the same 650 down fill power.
