Born and raised in a small town in Naples, Vincenzo Guarino began his venture into the culinary arts in his teens, earning his stripes at Michelin-starred establishments both nationally and internationally. His style is to promote simple and authentic cuisine based on traditional Mediterranean dishes with a personal twist, creating a multi-sensory journey while telling stories with aroma and flavour.
Overlooking the lake, CO.MO Bar & Bistrot has a spacious terrace on which to enjoy sunset views with an after-dinner drink made by expert mixologists. The bistro is available for lunch and dinner, featuring traditional Italian dishes that span the country’s twenty regions. such as signature pizzas using mozzarella and organic tomatoes from Campania and oregano from Sicily. As a plastic-free resort, they use a number of eco-friendly alternatives to plastic such as straws innovatively made of pasta, including gluten-free straws for guests who are gluten intolerant.
Elegant restaurant L˜ARIA is situated in a lakefront building in the botanical gardens, with floor- to-ceiling windows for panoramic views that emphasise the relationship to the surroundings. Vincenzo celebrates Italian olive oils in his creations, sourcing organic oils from small family-run farms in nearby Tuscany, Puglia, Campania and Sicily for varying character that offers a true taste of the land.
A specially designed tasting menu, paired with Italian wines, pays homage to Lake Como and the surrounding area, with an emphasis on fresh local produce including delectable lake fish, meats from Alpine-reared cattle and organic greens.
