Navy Guernsey Knit Cotton Jumper
About the product
A classic navy jumper should be a part of any man's wardrobe and our Peele style is pleasingly weighty and warm.
The Guernsey knit is named after the island off the south coast of England where sailors' wives would knit jumpers for their husbands with the distinctive dropped rib construction. Each rib denotes a different part of the ship; the sleeve represents the ship's rope ladder, the raised seam on the shoulder is the rope and the hem along the bottom is the waves.
