When photographer Samuel Bradley told us about his love of climbing, we suggested he take our Morley sweatshirt away with him report back on how well it withstood a weekend away scaling the rugged heights of the Harrisons Rock, England.
“Harrisons is a 130 million year old sandstone crag which is an hour and a half from London Bridge. It’s extremely popular with climbers in South East England and as a result is pretty worn out, although this only makes the climbing harder as most of the holds are extremely polished from almost 100 years of use.
"The Morley turned out to be a perfect fit for climbing, as poking my thumb through the sleeve holes protected my hands from rope burn when taking out or packing away the rope."
A lot of the routes can be soloed, which means to climb without a rope. I tend to solo easier routes to warm up and then rope up for the harder/higher stuff.
The Morley turned out to be a perfect fit for climbing, as poking my thumb through the sleeve holes protected my hands from rope burn when taking out or packing away the rope. Genuinely a feature I’d encourage climbing brands to consider. It was also perfect for the evenings after it got dark, as we were camping in the woods, which got a little chilly. I also like the more classic high neckline vs the slouchier ones you see a lot with sweatshirts.”
